Tom Brokaw For Opie and Anthony

Where do I start? In 2008 I made this Animation For The Opie and Anthony Show. It was screened at Roseland Theatre in NYC to a SOLD OUT crowd!! Tom Brokaw's voice was done by Anthony Cumia and Provided by O&A. I even got to be on the radio show for a bit. After the Show the initial posting reached about 30K views! which isn't that bad considering the compressed it horribly. Heres a good version that i've added extra censorship too, Its Op and Ant so be prepared. The armature inside Tom Brokaw was Hand Machined by me to super small tolerances (+/-.005 in). The whole animation took about 1 month of mostly night time shooting. I cut it down to 3 minutes from the original cut of 5 minutes derived from about 30 minutes of audio i was given. A fun stopmotion film to produce and shoot. It's one of my most successful animations.

Stopmotion animation created in 2008 for the Opie and Anthony Show. I extra censored this version, But you can go to there sites for a fuller version
Production Still. Tom is ducking from a grenade explosion that was added later. Stopmotion has to be carefully planned ahead so you can animate to elements that are not there. Its usually not in the budget to reshoot. A few seconds takes all week and even longer. I animate in 1's for the most part. Which means i take one photo per frame of film. So at 24 frames per second(fps) i take 24 individual HD pictures for one second of film. In that frame I have to move the character ever so little, and sometimes moves cameras for moving shots and rack focuses ect.. Very time consuming-But well worth it and very satisfying in the end.
